Blue Archive is a Gacha RPG mobile title developed by NEXON GAMES and published by Yostar. It was released on 04 February 2021. The Global version is published by Nexon and was released on November 8th, 2021, with support available in Korean, Traditional Chinese and Thai. China version of the game is released on August 3rd, 2023 in Simplified Chinese with Yostar as the publisher.

A worldwide version of the game was announced in August 2021, surpassing one million pre-registrations ahead of its release. The version, which includes English as well as Korean, Traditional Chinese and Thai language support was released on November 8 of the same year by Nexon. On November 11, 2022, Nexon updated the ratings of the worldwide version of the game to "Mature" from the original "Teen" rating, while released a separate "Teen"-rated version of the game, particularly due to its rating issues in Korea. The "Teen" rating version has some content changes compared to the original release.

Master Shiba is a non-playable character in Blue Archive who is the owner of Shiba Seki Ramen and an adult. Shiba is a strict man who cares about his job and the quality of food. But he is also friendly to the Abydos students, especially Kuromi Serika, his part-time waitress. Although he originally planned to retire, the happiness seen from those who enjoyed his food made him choose to continue his job. Shiba resembles a Shiba Inu with two scars on his face, a cross one at the left of his left eye and a vertical one at his right eye. He wears a white bandana on his head, a blue shitagi with a logo on the left sleeve, and a white apron. He smokes a brown pipe.
