Product description

Introducing Studio Ghibli-inspired diorama, realistically reproducing Laputian Robot Trooper, which is featured in the Ghibli’s movie "Laputa: Castle in the Sky". This 1/30 scale papercraft model is of the Laputian Robot Trooper from the anime "Castle in the Sky".
In the movie set, the floating island nation of Laputa was protected by large humanoid robots of significant power.

The troopers had barrel-shaped bodies and their limbs consisted of multiple flat segments; the robot’s arms reach from its shoulders all the way to the floor when standing. Physically, the robots measure 344cm in height and weighs 238kg, whilst their bodies are roughly humanoid in shape.

Indulge yourself in an assembly of delicately laser-cut hard paper to create cute miniatures without the need for painting. This miniature art kit replicates the "Laputa: Castle in the Sky".

Under the supervision of Studio Ghibli, the details have been carefully paid attention to detail from every 360°. When assembling the pieces, you will bring yourself back to the scenes of the movie.

The assembled model has a solid texture. You can use the utility knife, tweezer, and glue to assist you with assembling pieces together. Build, decorate and immerse yourself in the world of Ghibli!

This set will keep you engaged for hours, estimating approx. 12 hours (or more!) of assembling time, and it’ll be great for someone who’s had previous experience in assembling dioramas, given the challenging difficulty level - it’s worth it!

This is the very piece that requires you to faithfully follow the instructions and take your time to assemble the kit, but the feeling after completion is truly satisfying! Recommended for advanced users only.

The finished design will make you feel accomplished and will look very impressive amongst other collectibles from your favourite anime movies.

Further information

The Laputian Robot Troopers (robotto hei), or Heavenly Troopers (tenpei) are primitive automatons that appear in the Studio Ghibli film "Laputa: Castle in the Sky".

They had barrel-shaped bodies and their limbs consisted of multiple flat segments; the robot’s arms reach from its shoulders all the way to the floor when standing. While the robots normally tended to the gardens and structures within Laputa, they were also adept fighting machines.

There are two variants, combat type and non-combat type that can be differentiated based on several characteristics such as colorations and spikes on arms. Physically, the robots measure 344cm in height and weighs 238kg. Despite this, their bodies are roughly humanoid in shape.

Their main body segments are broad and trapezoidal in shape, with their chests embellishing the crest of the Laputian royal family. The robots’ arms and legs are segmented; their arms are very long, nearly reaching to the ground. The arms also have spikes on each segment, which support sets of retractable flaps.

Each robot has a pair of five-fingered hands; their feet are wide and flat, and lack any distinguishable toes. Each robot has a relatively small dome-shaped head atop its body, which is connected by a narrow and flexible neck.

The head features a bean-shaped plate that houses a pair of uneven "eyes", with the left being roughly twice as large as the right. They act as sensors for movement, and are also capable of shooting lasers. Two much smaller holes between the eyes act as the "nose" of the robot, with a divot along the plate’s bottom appearing to be a sort of "mouth".
